What is an AI visibility check?
We ask AI assistants (ChatGPT, Google Gemini and Perplexity) the questions your customers ask, such as "best HVAC company in South Bend", and record whether your business is named. You get a one-page report with your score, who is recommended instead, and the top five fixes.
How do AI assistants decide which local businesses to recommend?
They draw on information they can verify across the web: your Google Business Profile, reviews, your website, directory listings such as Yelp and the BBB, and local articles. Businesses with complete, consistent information and strong reviews are named more often.
Is this the same as SEO?
It overlaps, but it is not the same. SEO aims to rank you in a list of links. AI visibility is about being one of the few businesses an assistant names in its answer. Many of the fixes, like complete profiles and clear service pages, help both.
